Things to consider when choosing a gravestone

A long name requires more space.
Therefore, choose to place the decoration at the top instead of on the side. Then the entire width of the stone is used.
On a narrow and tall stone, the text will end up higher than on a low and wide one, considering possible plant height in front.
All surfaces where material is added such as paint or gold require maintenance.

Deeply recessed texts are only maintained with high-pressure washing. No repainting or regilding is needed.
Our deeply recessed texts are given a dark gray primer before delivery,
because when the text is new, it is the brightest and is visible “worse” than after a few years when it has acquired an older patina.

The color will disappear over the years, but then the patina will have taken over instead.
A polished surface is colorful while other surfaces give a more subdued impression.
